Our Services
Recovery Support Services
Our Recovery Support committee is committed to ending alcohol and drug use within the North Minneapolis and Brooklyn Park area. TWC partners with the agency across the Twin Cities to provide culturally specific outpatient treatment to community members in need.
The TWC recovery support committee is comprised of community leaders, healthcare providers, religious and spiritual leaders, and mental health specialists to develop strategies for addressing problems related to harmful alcohol and drug use.
Mental Health
The purpose of our Mental Health Committees was developed to encourage, support and increase community mental health services for people in the neighborhood dealing with problems with mental health and wellbeing. The committee is comprised of representatives from across the twin cities. The committee is working to create a community that does not run from personal suffering, but confronts it head-on by fostering dialogue, resolving issues we see, and learning about the ones we do not.
Community Crisis and Trauma Reduction
Our Community Crisis and Trauma Reduction Committee was created as a collaborative between 15 organizations that are based on the practices of healing, trauma reduction, community engagement and decreasing community anxiety. The role of the committee is to provide leadership, resources and practices to reduce trauma within Minneapolis. As a committe, the partners will work together to create spaces for workshops, groups, community engagement activities, various events and healing practices.
